What a move-out clean includes

Kitchen: inside and outside of the refrigerator, oven and microwave, inside every cabinet and drawer, countertops, sink, and cabinet fronts.

Bathrooms: shower, tub, toilet, sink, mirror and fixtures cleaned and sanitized, inside vanities and medicine cabinets, floors washed.

Bedrooms and closets: shelves and rods wiped, closet floors cleaned, window sills and baseboards, floors vacuumed or mopped.

Living areas: baseboards, door frames, light switches and outlet covers, ceiling fan blades, interior window sills, floors throughout.

Everywhere: the spots furniture was hiding, behind appliances, under sinks, inside built-ins.

What is not included

We do not do exterior windows, pressure washing, carpet shampooing, pest control, garage or attic clear-outs, or hauling away items left behind. If the home needs junk removal before we can clean, arrange that first and we will work after it.

What it costs

Standard house cleaning runs $40 per hour, per cleaner. Move cleans are different: they are quoted per job, because the work depends on the size of the home and the condition it is left in. Tell us the bedroom count and rough condition and you get a number before we start.

Timing around closings and handovers

Move cleans run against a deadline, so we book them in advance rather than same-day. Give us the closing date or the walkthrough time and we schedule backwards from it. The more notice you give, the easier it is to hold the slot.

What we need from you

The home should be empty, or close to it, because we clean surfaces rather than around furniture and boxes. We bring our own eco-friendly supplies, the same ones used on every clean. We need access arranged, whether that is a key, a lockbox or someone on site, and the utilities on, since cleaning an empty house needs water and light.
